A new trading card game app is based on the comic publisher’s existing and ever-popular cast of characters and titles, including the likes of Bloodshot, Shadowman, X-O Manowar, Quantum and Woody and more.
The digital trading cards specialist VirtTrade is partnering with Valiant Entertainment to create a new range of digital collectable trading cards called Valiant Heroes.
The trading card game app is based on the comic publisher’s existing and ever-popular cast of characters and titles, including the likes of Bloodshot, Shadowman, X-O Manowar, Quantum and Woody and more.
Under the partnership, Valiant’s comic universe offers a depth with which VirtTrade will create a series of collections focusing on the company’s more than 2,000 individual characters as well as provide fans with a mix of original sketches, covers, panels and recreated pages.
This will all be housed in social app that will include mini games and VirtTrade’s proprietary trade and collect functions.
“When I first came into the VirtTrade business, I anticipated comic heroes and mixed universes being central to our success, so I am delighted we are now working with Valiant,” said Ross Walker, chief commercial officer of VirtTrade.
“Its archive is rich and deep and will reimagine how comic fans consume and engage with content that has previously only been available on page.”
Russell Brown, Valiant president of consumer products, promotions and ad sales, added: “We see in VirtTrade the same enthusiasm we have for our own product and an opportunity to drive revenue and engagement in ways we have not been able to do before.
“Our team has been impressed by their innovative ideas and we will be jointly developing a few industry firsts specifically for our loyal Valiant fans.”
VirtTrade hs said it will tailor its app for Valiant fans to ensure it ‘meets the expectations of the Valiant brand.’ It will also look to drive community engagement around the core product.
